You do realize me using "hipster" and "pretentious" is just a way for me to poke at you, right (assuming you're not Frownland)? I know I've been using those terms for a long time, but it's just a quick and easy cultural association to invoke for fun. I definitely think there's an underground hip hop trend culture, but that exists in all forms of music. I don't like MF Doom, not because I think he's hipster or whatever, his flow is just like molasses to me. All the creative rhyme schemes in the world aren't going to make him any more exciting to me unless I get over that very basic aesthetic in his delivery.
