Ha, I'd like to see that too. This theory about everything being predetermined is my own, I doubt that's what the author wanted to say, but I too missed an attempt to break this cycle. Maybe they decided against that because it would make the movie a lot more confusing, maybe they didn't even consider it. The way I see it though, this predeterminism is the only real way for the plot to work.
Anyway, the movie might be slightly overhyped but it's the first one in a long time that made me ask questions afterwards, and that's something I really value
