Nightwish - Once (2004)

You remember Once don't you? You know, when people actually thought Nightwish were good and people didn't hate on them for no reason. Hell, that's how it is now. Feels to me like Nightwish is becoming the new Nickelback, but the only difference is that Nightwish is actually good.

Once was released during the Tarja days, and there are varying opinions about whether she fit the band or not, but I'm of the opinion that I don't give a ****, as long as the music is good, and it is. People have heard tracks from this album so much that it's almost a joke not to know at least once track. Planet Hell comes to mind because that may be the most mainstream song on this entire album. Y'know, if you're not living under a rock or anything.

It's still a solid album for what it is, and I would go as far to say that it's in their top 3 overall. That's mostly bias since it was one of the two first albums that I heard when I found out Nightwish existed. I fell in love right away, but I know people around me didn't think the same way.

A well deserved 8/10
