They don't fall apart in the first three episodes, they usually fall apart near the end like he has no idea how he wants to end it until he gets closer to the end. They try to wrap it up into a nice little bow but there are usually some wtfs before getting to it.

There's a select few exceptions where I like something that technically falls into the horror category: The Thing (1982), Alien, Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) and Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust.

I disagree with that. I mean I know the types that you are thinking of but there is more to the horror genre than just those jump scare type of movies.

How do you need horror to affect you like torture porn so that you have a visceral reaction? I bet you hate torture porn though. There are some horror movies that are excellent at story telling. Usually most ghost ones get around to it eventually after the stupid jump scares. Frown produced a pretty quality list that I was going to mention a few of from it. I loved the Hills Have Eyes remake and the second one as well. Went to see the first one three times in the theater. Not like it was some masterpiece, but I just enjoy a good revenge story. Also the reason I gravitate towards Korean Horror and some Japanese ones. Horror as a genre is pretty diverse. You just have to find what you are into.

No, I get that, I have those same backlogs like everyone else but I at least take the time to appreciate the work that are put into some of these shows. What's the point of rushing through content just for the sake of completing it and saying you did it without really getting into it? I understand if you don't want to take the time to do so but I do. I guess it also just boils down to if you enjoy it or not and you are caught up in a system where you feel like you have to judge a show prematurely to see if it's worth your time just so you can move through said list and that's sad.
