haha, true, at times it is hard to seperate someone's actual personality from the music they make. I'll admit i've made similar judgements, it's one of the reasons that i'm not all that big on metalica. I acknowledge that it's not the most rational way to judge music, but still, at times it's very hard to make that distinction.
