I just tell people I'm a metal head. If I say alternative, they start talking about how great pink Floyd is. If I say everything, they start spouting off their favorite pop singers. If I say stoner rock (which is closer to the truth) they think I'm a pot head. Which is funny cause I now live a pretty straight edge lifestyle. Lol. If I say metal head, they either start talking about music intelligently, or they pigeonhole me as a satanic worshipper followed by them doing my favorite thing and not talking to me.
