Most Johnston I've hated. I'll check it out though.
Speaking of Johnston, I watched
The Devil and Daniel Johnston when it came out--well, when it appeared on Netflix. I'd never heard of him before prior to that, but I watch a lot of films. I also have an aversion to knowing too much about a film before I watch it.
Well, I made it halfway through convinced that I was watching some sort of brilliant
Spinal Tap-ish mockumentary, but then I finally started getting the feeling that it wasn't a mockumentary at all, and it was a serious documentary about a real guy. So I paused to check and I couldn't believe it. I didn't get as much of a kick out of the second half, after I knew that it wasn't some sort of black comedy.
