I also like Sonic Youth a lot . . . and maybe some Bjork and Beck, though I'm not very familiar with most of their output. But I like Sonic Youth! A couple of your other favorites I don't think I've ever heard--Autolux, Warpaint and Metric.
I'm an older guy who is generally not a huge "indie" fan. I'm definitely not a Pitchfork kind of guy. But I do like some of that stuff. There isn't really a genre that I categorically dislike, even re pretty obscure subgenres.
