Default The Alan Moore Thread

Now that I'm balls deep into Miracleman I'm feeling an Alan Moore fanboy thing coming on. I've read Watchmen twice, and love it, and probably The Killing Joke at least three times, along with some other stuff like his work on Spawn (seriously) and one of his Lovecraft stories. But I've still got so much to read, like Captain Britain, Swamp Thing, V for Vendetta, his Superman stories, etc.

I'm a fan of plenty of comic book writers, but Alan Moore is on a whole 'nother level than most everybody. There's just something about an Alan Moore comic that feels different to anything else, something almost primal in its genius, strangeness, and ultimate quality. The man is simply a comic god the like of which we may never see again, and I do not at all feel like a bandwagon-jumper for gushing over him.

Who else is like me?

P.S. Alan Moore thinks he's a legit wizard with magical powers. How awesome/bat**** crazy is that? He even looks like a young Gandalf.
