My mom was born with a vagina in 1930. All throughout grade school, junior high, high school, and nursing school she was pretty butch and was only attracted to women and had a number of intimate relations with a number of them. Take into account that this was long before any sexual revolutions, the internet, 99 channels and nothing on, Oprah, and even Dear Abby.

Because of intense family and social pressures she gave it an honest try to go straight. She fell in love with my dad, and had 3 kids over the course of 5 years. They bought a house with a white picket fence, got a dog, and settled into Eisenhower/Kennedy Americana.

When I was 2 my dad came home from work early and caught my mom with another woman. They divorced and I was raised for the next 15 years in a home with my butch mom and her fem partner(s).
