Not if it's bad for their business or image. It's a businesses decision. Personally, I think businesses should stay the hell away from politics, but it's their choice if they want to get involved. Freedom of choice?

EDIT: Social-media sites are a little different, as their specific purpose is to create an environment for the user. So in that, they have to get a feel for their user base. If it's too lopsided, their customers may go elsewhere, or they'll get other media on their back criticizing them and bringing unwanted attention.
