My thoughts on this: the riffs are as good as any riff Metallica put out, and only Metallica could make such a generic guitar tone sound refreshing.
Oh and the lyrics are only funny because Metallica is 100% not known for using abstract lyricism. It's not even in the same universe of terrible as 'my lifestyle...' (You know the rest)
