Emo doesn't have the "same angst." But I agree they sound a little similar. Also, grunge was known for its punk influence. Post-grunge is a liitle more conventional and focuses on pop hooks. I can put Soundgarden and Pearl Jam on the same pedastal. Plus, post-grunge focises a little less on angst. I can't put Pearl Jam's Ten and Foo Fighter's The Colour and Shape on the same pedastal, despite being both alternative rock. But I can group Nevermind with Ten.
I didn't leave them out. Google it. That's the official big four.
