"Species" is part of the Taxonomic rank. "Critical-endangered species" is a conservation status as designated by International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN). I am not quite sure if the IUCN have critical-endangered genus, critical-endangered family, critical-endangered order
etc etc. So I didn't say it that way.
Bats are of the order Chiroptera with the sub-order of Megachiroptera & Microchiroptera. Of the 950 species of bats world wide, about a quarter of them are threatened or endangered, with species of bats are on the severe CR list. So that is why Ozzy can't bite the head off a bat in his biopic.
With all this talk about "
Endangered Species," (no pun intended) I think a Rockdoc of the Japanese band, eX-Girl, should be made.
