Drunk is definitely the way to play this game. I died once in the first real alien part, and died once, because I was testing whether the alien appears once and then goes away for good (it does not), but once I realized how to do that part it was easy. Unnerving as ****, but easy.
And now I'm in the part where you have to worry about the rogue androids rather than the alien, who are a bitch, but relatively predictable. Since I'm drunk I imagine that they will be more challenging than otherwise, but I was high as all **** the last time I made my way past them, so they're not an impossible obstacle by any means.
But after that... then the alien section begins in earnest, and there is no way to make your way around that part without pure terror. In order to take the edge off of that I will have to be so drunk that I will basically be so useless that being sober might actually be preferable. Being high is certainly not the way to go, as I have tried that, and it is debilitating. I seriously could not go five minutes without almost having a panic attack.
I don't care. I have the money to be wasted for the rest of the week and I refuse to play this game sober. It's just not possible for someone with my level of nerves and paranoia.
I hate this ****ing game.
