This album is hard to categorize. Sometimes it sound like experimental hip hop, sometimes it sounds like indie rock or 80s art rock or post punk, sometimes it sounds like weirdo R&B, sometimes it has guitar that sounds like it belongs on a highlife track, but somehow it never feels like manic genre-hopping and is very much of a piece. Good stuff.

Looks like an updated cover of
Sleep's record.

I just posted this in the Albums You're Digging thread so needless to say, I'm digging it. I'm not much into the newer hip-hop acts that are getting attention these days, but I like a good 90s-style boom bap hip-hop album with good vocal samples, or brief skits. This very much has a Company Flow, Wu-Tang, MF Doom, Madvillain sound to it - what you'd expect from the cover art and album title.

The entire sound collage comic book-y intro's in Doom albums and wu-tang affiliate records are wonderful. Love this record
