I think it's just hit me how incredible the whole undertaking is in this context.
Bowie laid bare his battle with cancer and his proximity to death right under our noses without our realisation, and consequently, the album becomes a chilling and triumphant obituary that seals a legacy forever. Watching the videos back for Lazarus and Blackstar now is so strange and dark, but so emotive at the same time.
