Too bad you weren't into the album though, but I'm glad that A New Kind of Water left a good impression on you since that's the best track off of the album. Like grindy said, they have a very singular sound that I find really infectious. Plus, given that it's from 1981 I'd say it's years ahead of its time. I also discovered the album in high school during a pretty significant period of music discovery for me, so there's a strong bias there.

Considering I thought it was a modern band I do have to give props to something that out there being made in the 80's it's really brave to do something like that in the time period.
Yes, I do prefer female vocals. I like male vocals but, it's more likely I'll enjoy something if it's a female. Just my thing I guess. Added.
