GaGa is famous because she had one album of simple-but-brilliant pop songs about being a party girl. Pretty much everything else was an obnoxious hype machine of Facebook trends and meat dresses. She's pretty much been riding on the coat tails of The Fame ever since, and the diminishing returns ever since is a testament to how little people care about her "social" stances.
Ke$ha on the other hand, though her star has fallen due to the whole thing about "Die Young" being released around the same time as a school shooting, has actually released continually better albums. Cannibal (though an EP) was better than Animal, and Warrior is simply one of the best pop albums of the decade. Sure they all conform to the Ke$ha template, but just listen to Warrior as a collection of pop songs rather than an expression of an artist's... whatever, and god damn is it awesome. It's ridiculous how little filler there is in comparison to just about any other mainstream pop artist.
She definitely needs to quit suing her record label and release another album, though. I understand there's a rape charge with her manager, but she's shooting her career in the foot by taking it out on her label.
