So, I think DMT widens or deepens your perceptive abilities so that you can perceive them.

What you see depends on who's around at the time you do the DMT. If benevolent or disinterested beings are nearby, then your trip will range from all right to pretty good.

But if the beings are hostile, you'll have a bad trip. My friend, when he did it, said he went to hell. He said everything was black, but he could sense a lot of people around him. And some malevolent beings whom he couldn't see but could sense said, "He's not supposed to be here."

I think we humans are going our way, and spirits are going their way, and sometimes we interact, but most of the time we don't. The spirits have their own things going on. DMT can force an intersection, for good or for ill.
