I never got the use the power pad but i heard that kids used to cheat on it by using their hands. the power pad and the power glove were both good ideas but they were a little too ambitious for their time, given what we know now, the power pad could've been alot more successful if the NES had music/rhythm games.

That game actually looks like a lot of fun. It's a pretty unique style. It kind of reminds me of Mario RPG the Seven Stars. The way it moves in a more 3D way. I never played Seven Stars until many years later myself.
