Alice Cooper's first two albums are a combination of hard rock and psychedelic rock and because they didn't sell, the band adopted a more shock rock approach for their breakthrough album Love it to Death.
Alice Cooper both the band and the singer were glam and along with Kiss and Aerosmith they were amongst the biggest influences on 80s glam metal, of which Motley Crue were one of the vital bands of that style.
