I like to imagine that Hendrix would have fallen in with the more experimental jazz crowd. Some albums with Miles Davis, some with members of Soft Machine, something with Brötzmann in the vein of Last Exit with him instead of Sharrock. Then at some point an improvised noisy solo guitar album...
