Much like moxie, "hipster" itself seems to date far back before our lifetimes, does it not? I could be wrong but it seems that with every generation it gains a new set of attributes. In my day, "hipsters" were the fellows who sacrificed their virility to what was peculiarly called "girl pants" and sported proto-Bieber haircuts. By this definition, neither of our good friends fit this description very well. It's a slippery term.
