I told you: I used to exist in a self-contained musical bubble, and even after coming here it was months before I poked my head outside my journal cave to join you all. Even after THAT, it's taken a lot for me to put my own musical prejudices aside and try new stuff. TFL are a band I had heard of, but didn't like the name and had no reason to try them out. I've missed a lot of good music.
You could probably name fifty bands and I would not have heard, nor perhaps even heard of at least forty of them.
