Here you go:

EVERY post is a wall of text. Still, I can talk I guess (learned how to do that very early in my life, haven't shut up yet)

New members joining is a gamble; you have no idea what they're going to turn out to be. Of course, you'll get decent people like Fiddler and Innerspaceboy, but you can just as easily end up with people you really would prefer would go elsewhere. A change in rules is not going to affect them, as they would not have been here to see how things were, so would assume it had always been this way. I think it's more important to try to keep those who have contributed to the forum and helped to develop it, and continue to, than some random newbs who may or may not be what we're looking for. I'm not saying don't invite new members, but I'm totally against changing the rules for their benefit. The rewards are uncertain at best, and the negatives could very well outweigh the positives, ie people who have been here years leaving because they don't like the new system and feel it was implemented over their objections.

I have to be clear here: I never said anything of the sort, and just made a joke and a few comments. But yes, she did restrict her replies to only those she wished to respond to, and agreed with. As did, for the most part, tore, unless he was trying to force someone to see his point of view and change their mind.

I would like to think that if I had a proposal and people were against it that I would engage with them and accept their input rather than just plough ahead regardless and ignore their concerns or points.
