Paradise Lost -
The Plague Within (2015)
I've always loved this band and thought their 2012 album,
Tragic Idol, was one of the under appreciated albums of that year. I really enjoy Nick Holmes as a vocalist, but I thought he wasn't a perfect fit for Bloodbath last year and it really brought down what was an riff-tastic album. It seems the slower, less abrasive sound and epic scope of Paradise Lost is a better fit for him because he rocks this album. Thick distortion, slow and deliberate riffs, and just an overall sense of power really make this album a worthy followup to
Tragic Idol.
