Sounds like you misunderstood my post. I was talking about how I have a hard time getting into modern R&B. I was also saying, however, that I'm a fan of some music which is related to modern R&B, such as acid jazz, so that might be helpful for a direction of approach for anyone who wanted to try to sell me on modern R&B.
