Off we go without preamble this week. Hey, cut me some slack! I'm creatively exhausted after last week's magnificent octopus! You don't like it, you know where you can ... hey! Where are you going? Come back! Um... anyway...
First out of the traps this week is
Aux-in where in
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...continuum.html he's comparing the mixed and original versions of Oceanlab's
Siren of the seas.
Following close behind is
Black Francis, where
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...l-journey.html he's still working through those KAS Product albums, with their third and final one,
Black and noir, while in
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...ms-nes-ps.html he's remembering Evil Zone and some obscure thing called Final Fantasy VII. Sorry, other way round.
Remember
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...y-journal.html? Well, it's back. Apparently. We wait with not-quite-bated breath...
You can learn a lot about
Exo's life and also his skill in photography in
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...s-musings.html
while
Freebase is laying down some more
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...stronauts.html with his latest groove
and
innerspaceboy is getting all chill in
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...nnerspace.html with Kruder and Dorfmeister as well as Underworld, not to mention some, ah, spring cleaning!
Meanwhile,
joenorwood77's
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...band-week.html continues, this week with Meiko.
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...de-sparks.html has an interview with the guys
Mr. Sir is checking out Fat Freddy's Drop in
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...your-time.html
and
Pet_Sounds has some personal stuff on
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...crap-heap.html: glad your dad's problems are there too now, Pet_S. On the scrap heap, I mean.
It's 2004 in
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...ar-1965-a.html with albums from Madvilliain, MewithoutYou and MF Doom among others.
That brings us to me, and in
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...d-journal.html I'm ranting (when am I not?) about mostly payday loan companies. “To Play the King” finally wraps up in
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...-emporium.html as Urquhart goes to-to-toe with the monarch, and there are reviews of John Grant's
Pale green ghosts and Night Runner's [i]Starfighter[/url] in
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...i-reviews.html. Been letting these journals slip recently; expect more updates from next week on.
To nobody's surprise,
Powerslave is the top album of 1984 as
Unknown Soldier prepares to take us to the midway point of the eighties in
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...y-history.html
The return of the
http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...who-thing.html has been hailed as one of the great events of our time, and this week he's telling us all about Daleks and why he ... doesn't really like them?

After an extended hiatus --- totally understandable under the circumstances --- WWWP was back to ring in the New Year with an entry in the very last day of December 2013 as she looked at Javelin's
Canyon candy. It was March of the following year before she resurfaced, this time with her band's first single (which I had to say I didn't like)

and then her last entry to date would end up being nine months later, as in December of 2014 she reviewed Creepoid's s/t.
And that's been it so far from this gorgeous, talented, missed writer. Situation must be resolved! Steph? Steph! Nearly half a year now? Come on: we're waiting for your words of wisdom....
Next week: someone else's journal.
And that's it for this week. Tune in again next Sunday for ... for ... well I don't know what for do I? I can't see the future, and if I could I certainly wouldn't be wasting it here with a bunch of losers like .... um, that is, er ...
Toodles!
