Seriously though, as far as intelligent comedies go, it's right up there with the smartest sitcoms of the modern era, and it was in an time when that kind of humor just wasn't on TV (at least to my knowledge).

I use to watch it in real time religiously during it's first run, and watched the reruns countless times. One of the very few shows that could make you gut laugh in one instance and then shed tears minutes later.
