i initially planned on buying the trilogy but ME2 equipment system disappointed so much i honestly can't enjoy the game cause of it. they also changed how you level up to a more restricted chapter way, everything that was good about ME1 was streamlined and dumbed down, i luved ME1 so much i wanna enjoy the franchise regardless that they changed the original system but i don't think i can.

The equipment system is the best of the series. You get armor that is both cool to look at and actually gives you stat bonuses worth a damn. You get mad weapons to use too.
The RPG elements are also the best in the game. In the second one they were dumbed down, but I don't know why people give a **** about the RPG **** from the first game. You could pretty much max out most every attribute, so it's not like you really had a customized character, most of the abilities you could use were boring, and the only real difference most stat increases did were largely unnoticable and therefore also boring.
3 gave you far more choices to upgrade than in 2, while the abilities you could learn were actually useful and fun to use.
