Of course a lot of bands I listed are known, and there are a decent number of bands I am sure many of you never heard of (scarlet Haze, Junkyard, Rhinobucket, Todd Snider, Maria Mena, Leah West and many others). Obviously most of you don't care so I will quit wasting my time as well as providing entertainment for the bullies on here. What a fool I was to actually think people would want to discuss music on a music forum.

Oh man come on! Don't be like that! Everyone slags everyone here, whether they know them or not. Look at me: they have me in a skirt and high heels now! Do I care? **** no. It's all just fun. So your idea was not immediately embraced by the community. Well neither were a lot of mine. I just had to close a thread because it got too heated. These things happen. Accept it and move on. Do your project and to hell with the naysayers. Or move on to something else. Don't just take your ball and go home.

Exactly. He wasn't the only one but my god he impressed from the start. Not everyone will (I certainly didn't) but you learn and grow into it. Then of course there are those who can't cut it and run at the first sign of trouble...

This. Think real life.

I think CoNtrivedNiHilism made some good points in his post a few pages back. Don't worry so much about what everyone else thinks and just keep doing what you're doing, if that's what you want to do. It seems like it's something that you really want to do for you, whether on here or not, so maybe just think of it as doing it for yourself, and if others join in then great, and if not, it isn't a big deal.

And this. This lady knows what she is talking about.

If you really wanted people to be interested in what you wrote, you need to make it interesting. Nobody gives two ****s about a list because that's all it is, a list.

As was already said: a list is nothing. You need to elaborate and as I said, a list of 100 bands maybe. A list of 1000? That's asking a lot for a first post. Even if you had linked to it on another website but to put it all down there in single lines? Got to expect some surprise/criticism/derision.

hi this is a forum. if youre going to post something that's quite obviously only important to you maybe don't cry about it when others don't think its as important. no we get it pal youre a martyr. dying on the breaking Benjamin hill

Again: real life versus forum life. Few people come to a forum to hear how great their ideas are: you have to expect a conflicting view and that people may not agree with you. That's what debate is all about.

Again, my only reason wanting to just delete my account is the constant mocking. If I see a topic I dislike, I just move on to topics I have interest in.
Regarding typing what I like about each band, I can still do that. For me, I thought posting the best 5 songs of each was plenty. My purpose of the 1000 bands was strictly to initiate discussion. I guess a discussion happened, just not what I had in mind. I was far more concerned with using it as a way of interacting with people on here than discovering new bands.
I am not even sure why I am trying to explain myself more. Many of you have clearly expressed how you couldn't care less and I am just wasting my time.
I received yet another email notification so my brief response to that one is: I never claimed to have vast knowledge of bands and not trying to sound better than anyone. However, it would have been cool if some people discovered new bands on my list, just like I would while reading their posts. I do not care if someone does not think my project is important. Again it is the mocking and bullying comments that went over the line.

Underlined the important part. We're not your friends. We could be, if you stick around, but we're not going to just say "Oh that's great!" first time we meet you. Stay and learn, get to know us. Put this behind you (or don't) and try to grow and accept things.

Sorry Trollheart, I guess someone chopped off your dick and gave you a vagina in its place.
