Freakin' Jasper, man. This guy was pretty much the epitome of annoying when it came to having to go into the Sanctuary in Fable III. However, being as annoying as he was, there was still a bit of charm to him. Him telling you that you have new items available was always a nice treat especially when you were least expecting it. Of course, some like to think that perhaps Jasper was running around the Sanctuary wearing the hero's clothing while he was off doing quests and all that dangerous stuff. I often wondered why my sword were always dull and I had no ammo for my guns. Nonetheless, Jasper played a pretty important role in this game, judging by his biography:

The game starts with Jasper rousing the Hero and their dog from their bed in Bowerstone Castle, informing the Hero that their presence has been requested by their childhood sweetheart, Elise/Elliot. He is also fully aware of Logan's gradual slide to tyranny, advising the Hero early on to avoid their brother. The next time Jasper saw his friend, Logan had forced them to choose between executing either their lover or a group of protestors for daring to challenge his dictorial position.

When you think about it, without Jasper warning you about your brother going through a slipper slope, you as the hero would have been caught ill prepared and possibly had seen death far too early. In some weird way, Jasper saved your life, and him being in the Sanctuary guarding your items is the least you can allow him to do. Then again, you do have a room where you can store all your gold...
