It truly is, as are most of Poulencs works. For the Boroque period my favorites for organ are Bach and Buxtehude, and I have a lot of their works in my repertoire. That said, my favorite works for organ are French Romantic literature - Cesar Franck, Louis Vierne, Charles Marie Widor, Alexandre Guilmant, Eugene Gigout, Leon Boehlmann. A favorite of mine, (and fiendishly difficult) is "Tu Es Petra" by Henri Mulet. I also like Felix Mendohlson, and Max Reger.


Have you ever listened to Cameron Carpenter? On YouTube he gives a performance almost exclusively on the pedals playing Chopins "Revolutionary Etude"? Check it out.
