Well we also live in a country of 300 million people. I imagine it's not too hard for some random party in your country to mobilize a relatively significant portion of the population in order to gain
some kind of influence. But that same amount of people in America would be irrelevant. Our voting blocs are monolithic, and influencing them takes the kinds of campaign resources that only the major parties can afford.
