I'm more bugged by things like "sanitation engineer" replacing "janitor". Granted, I think the attempt at replacing "janitor" kind of failed and no cares anymore, but the idea was bull****. A) It implies that there really is something wrong with being a janitor, B) it stupidly assumes that the "sting" of "janitor" can be removed just by making a fancier-sounding alternative, and C) it shows that the middle-class white people who proposed the change think janitors are so stupid that they would actually believe that said white people no longer looked down on them just because they had a new fancy word their job.
