The **** are you people talking about.
Urban seems to think I was talking about women, when I'm talking pop-culture geekery - the kind of people who watch big bang theory and think it qualifies them as nerdy. Male or Female doesn't matter at all. The fact is, culturally, putting across the image of nerdy has become desirable, while actually being nerdy has remained socially unacceptable because people have no real interest in talking about in depth topics.
Roxy seems to think I'm talking about her, when I literally stated straight up that it was just that what she said made me consider the topic, and was nothing to do with her at all.
All I'm doing is trying to articulate that pop culture has recently moved to make it desirable and fashionable to project the image of being a nerd, and that it's resulted in a lot of very skin-deep nerd culture becoming hugely popular with the kind of people who'd switch off completely if they were confronted with having to have a real conversation with the kind of people the stereotype claims to represent.
