I meant Blind Guardian's Somewhere Far Beyond. Somehow their albums got messed up in my notes.. I guess I was pretty excited to get some good Metal recommendations. Anyways, I'm really bad at picking favorites, and writing about these on an album by album basis seems like a bad idea as well, so I'll just list what I thought was lack luster.. The Thrash Metal bands like Overkill, Vektor, Testament, Artillery, and Kreator were alright but I have a harder time enjoying Thrash anyways, I'll give them another listening to and see if I change my mind. A few of the Black Metal bands were harder to listen to, mostly the ones with vocal styles I hadn't heard before, or ones with slow repetitious styles: Gorgoroth, Demilich, Ulver, and Necrophagia. I liked pretty much everything else, but I can't really pick any favorites without giving their albums a second listen to! Generally speaking, I like faster stuff, and I like slower stuff when it has alot of substance.
I'm not sure but I think I've heard of Melechesh before.. hmm. I think you called them and Absu Thrash, but they're the only Thrash that you listed that I've really liked so far. Maybe its because it has Black Metal mixed in.
