Caught him last night at the Berklee Performance Center. For a jazz guy, he's really high energy, highly unorthodox (beatboxes while slapping the wooden parts of the piano), and it generally a remarkable showman. Aside from the obvious hits (
All at Sea,
Twentysomething) and his amazing covers (
Lover, you should come over and
High and Dry) he finished with a solo version of Grand Torino. Didn't know he had this, but I absolutely loved it.
