Who's posturing? The first thing I said, in the OP, was that I neither drink nor drive. But when I see mangled cars on a roadside on the news, and the cops confirm there was alcohol present, well you join those dots up pal. It's not like it's a hard puzzle, and you saying you know more about it because you can "control your drinking" doesn't mean one day you'll think you can and will have a lapse in concentration or something will happen and you'll hit someone.
You guys and gals who drink and think it's ok to drive, to chance it, will never agree with me, and I'll never agree with you, but in this country anyway, if you do chance it you are breaking the law. It may be different where you are, maybe it's more lax or there is some leeway, and if so then that's another thing, but here: right, let me tell you this. It's legal for a cop to arrest you THE MORNING AFTER as you're driving to work if you fail the breathalyser. You may not be drunk, but you're breaking the law and you can be done in. Bet they don't do that in the land of the free, wot?

That may be a little extreme but it shows how seriously we take this (that, or the Gardai are just trying to pad their arrest figures...)
Now, for the last time, the title will NOT be changed. This is NOT about drunk driving (though it can certainly escalate to that) but about driving with drink on you, ergo, drink driving. If you don't like it, suck it.
