10. Solex - Low Kick and Hard Bop
9. Holly Golightly - The Main Attraction
8. Nas - Stillmatic
7. Converge - Jane Doe
6. Circus Contraption - Our Latest Catalogue
5. Fantômas - The Director's Cut
4. The Whitefield Brothers - In the Raw
3. Techno Animal - The Brotherhood of the Bomb
2. Unwound - Leaves Turn Inside You
1. Aesop Rock - Labor Days

This is a strange year for me. It contains my favourite album of all time, so of course it's significant. And all of the albums listed here are at least very good in my opinion. But I simply don't listen to most of them much at all. Obviously it's hard to listen to hundreds of albums on a regular basis, but I don't even feel the need to check most of these out again. Not sure why. Regardless, decent variety on show, from funk (Whitefield Brothers), to Hip Hop (Nas/Aesop Rock) and dark cabaret (Circus Contraption). Every album here is worth checking out.
