Mayfield is definitely a legend I enjoy a lot of his stuff my personal fav though like I already mentioned is "Give Get Take and Have". Great soul tunes and I usually don't care for love songs but man that stuffs just smooth and really grows on you. The backup vocals on that album are amazing as well. My second fav would be his first "Curtis" with "Superfly" a close third. "Back to the World" is another very solid album.

I really liked "Jesus" from "There's No Place Like America Today". Few good tracks on that album but didn't care for it as a whole. Same way I feel about "Roots".

His last album had a couple pretty decent tracks as well most notably "Ms. Martha" and "New World Order".

I had to take a break on the Impressions as I'm busy recollecting my albums to find best quality but am still curious about their post Mayfield material if anyone knows about it.

Edit : and I have no source for this but heard through the grapevine that apparently Curtis Mayfield was Bob Marleys idol.
