It's weird though because although my parents were so good with money as I grew up, I sort of took the opposite route and was never really too careful with my money because even though I pay bills and rent, I still manage to make enough money to live comfortably. And I make a little over minimum wage. I might just be talking about nothing now. I just think that with people who both don't make a lot, and don't have a lot of money, shouldn't necessarily be considered poor if they've been able to purchase things that give them a comfortable life, be it an apartment, television, computer, etc.

The way I see it is:
Poverty= Not having the basics or means to get them
Poor= Able to have the bare minimum basics, perhaps a few nicer things with investment.
I could go on but I don't see a reason to.

I have a temper and shouldn't always be taken
entirely seriously. Still, if hating people for treating me like the help and preferring the company of those who understand that feeling or make an effort not to be oppressive in that way makes me prejudiced so be it I guess. I should elaborate and say that I've met plenty of well-off people who are very well-mannered and appreciative. But, in my experience, that's simply not the case with the majority of the people I'm dealing with.
I guess that's a pretty valid criticism though. It's pretty biased to sympathize with the perhaps unsavory characters of the underworld and not with the uppity snooters. I suppose someone who grows up pampered and around people who treat the less fortunate poorly is pretty likely to adopt the same mentality.
