I can't speak for the UK or Europe but in North America they were metal goliaths! I was in Elementary school when my friend and I got a hold of his older brothers "The Last Command" cassette, and that was that.

I'm not much of a Guns N' Roses fan but even I like some of that album

I was chastised today by a friend of mine for thinking of leaving W.A.S.P off my 1984 list ( a non member of the forum but reads the journal now and again) Have listened to the album again tonight and realize it should be back on.
