It's not an issue, and I'm sure it's not directed at you KI, but Urban's right: there are people who seem to believe that every new idea they have must be put into a separate journal, and if that happens not only will the original journal probably suffer, but we'll end up with a family of journals from everyone. I think Urban (and I, in my way) just means: think about it. Can your new idea work in your original journal? If not, then fine, go ahead and make a new one. But don't just do it for the sake of it or because you think it would be cool, or because others are doing it.
Again, not directed at you, and I'm the biggest culprit, but as I explained I had and have my reasons, all valid, for opening new journals. I just think people need to consider before they go opening another journal.
