I think all the Motley albums from the 80s hold up pretty well, except for maybe Theatre of Pain. The mixing on that album, aside from the singles, isn't the greatest. Its still pretty Motley though.
To me, Motley is glam metal and glam metal is Motley. They represent the genre 100%.

Let's be realistic here... Van Halen are
the hair metal band. They practically invented the genre. They set the trend of "sleazy singer + insanely talented guitarist = money". And if we're talking about the
best hair/glam metal
band (rather than album, which is why I brought up Dokken's Tooth and Nail), don't forget about "W.A.S.P."! They're just like Motley Crue, but with a male lead singer!
