And that post clearly proves you know nothing about progressive rock, sure people call it "rock"...But the reason it is called "progressive rock" is because its as far from standard rock as humanly possible, its a "progression" from basic rock music, falling into a class all its own, you could call it "anti rock" for all i care....My point is, if i made a thread about Yes or Genesis, all the threads about Norma Jean and Slipknot would make those threads seem awfuly out of place, which is why i feel we could use a prog forum, or at least a prog sub forum.
my point exactly as to why we need a classic rock forum, to keep the slipknot and korn and green day etc. posts seperate from the beatles, zeppelin, stones, etc. posts. And last I knew i could hear pink floyd on my classic ROCK station, as i could hear yes, rush, genesis, jethro tull, the moody blues, even king crimson from now and then, so i consider prog. part of the rock genre
