Gone Girl

I thought this was very well done and it definitely lived up to the hype. Tbh, I was expecting something a little better/more unique but it did quite well and didn't land too far from my expectations. Not quite at Se7en or Fight Club's status but better than the rest of his filmography imo.

Boyhood

Definitely Linklater's best work, and I say that as a massive fan of Slacker and Waking Life. I don't have much to say about this one that hasn't already been said except that I saw the stepdad Bill's storyline coming from a mile away. This film could have been an hour longer and I would have been okay with it.

Computer Chess

Well it sure tried hard to be good.

The Piano Teacher

This is the only gap in Haneke's filmography I haven't seen, and he fails to disappoint once again. I really enjoyed this dark and unique film; that ending was ****ing crazy.

Eyes Without a Face

Because Halloween, but I like brilliant movies year round.

Confessions of a Dangerous Mind

Thought that this was a great film. Things got a bit sloppy in the third act, but overall it was a joy to watch. I think this might be one of my favourite comedy movie scenes now:
