I agree, that's true of politics in general. I'm just saying when the issue is starting new country, you really should have more of a well thought out plan. It is possible for a politician to just coast along for a term or two within an existing political structure. I'd imagine when you're building a whole new thing from the ground up it's a lot less forgiving.
