10. NEU! - NEU! 2
9. Marion Brown - Geechee Recollections
8. Hawkwind - Space Ritual
7. Marvin Gaye - Let's Get It On
6. Tom Waits - Closing Time
5. Premiata Forneria Marconi - Photos of Ghosts
4. Mahavishnu Orchestra - Birds of Fire
3. The Mothers of Invention - Over-Nite Sensation
2. The Incredible Bongo Band - Bongo Rock
1. Iggy and The Stooges - Raw Power

This is probably my most varied year so far. Krautrock, Jazz, Psychedelic Rock, the genres of Tom Waits/Frank Zappa, Funk and Proto-Punk etc. The only negative is that it contains none of my absolute top tier favourite records ever. In fact, only Raw Power would come near that list. Nevertheless, it shows the expanding nature of music around this time (which isn't to say there wasn't experimentation long before it). All of these albums are completely worth checking out at least once.

p.s. Bongo Rock is an absolute pillar when it comes to Hip Hop sampling,

p.s. (2) I am going for the "left side" look now. The way the albums were presented in the "central" format is just uneasy on the eye.
